The purpose of this website is to give users the possibility of gaining an impression of Hotel van Gelder and of being able to book our hotel accommodation online. Although we have done our utmost to ensure that all the information available on this website is accurate, we cannot guarantee that all the information is complete and without errors, and we cannot be held responsible for any information that is lacking or has not been sent.

Credit card guarantee

Hotel van Gelder requires credit card details in order to be able to guarantee your reservation. The credit card that you use must belong to you personally or you must be legally authorized to use it by the owner. Your credit card information is sent directly to Hotel van Gelder. If you make a reservation, you are automatically entering into an agreement with Hotel van Gelder. We will not deduct a payment from your credit card, because you can pay for your stay when you check into the hotel. However, this does not apply to a non-refundable reservation. For this type of reservation, immediately after you make the reservation the payment is deducted from your credit card. The rates mentioned on this website are always per room per night, including VAT, and excluding breakfast and a 5 % city tax, unless otherwise stated.
You can be assured that we take our responsibility very seriously with regard to your credit card information. We use the industry standard ‘Secure Socket Layer (SSL)’ technology in order to code your credit card details. This means that we can guarantee that every transaction carried out is 100% secure and, in the case of misuse on the part of Hotel van Gelder, we will refund the first € 50. The credit card company is obliged to refund the remaining sum.


If you cancel within the period in the hotel’s cancellation policy, the cancellation will be free of charge. We would advise you to read through the hotel’s cancellation policy carefully:
Cancellation policy: it is possible to cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the day of arrival. Please note that the ‘day of arrival’ begins at 0:00 hours local time. In the case of a No Show or late cancellation, you will be charged for the first night. The hotel will retain your room reservation up to 7:00 hours on the day after your planned arrival.
